Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account page in one click — your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, then drops to Beginner. No phone calls, no retention dance.
What's the platform fee on the marketplace?
Pro keeps 100% of every sale (0% platform fee). Novice keeps 85% (15% platform fee). Stripe processing fees (~3%) are absorbed by Wavekey — what you list a loop for is what you make.
How do payouts work?
Monthly, on the 1st of the month, for sales settled the previous month. Minimum payout $10 (rolls over otherwise). Sent via Interac e-transfer in Canada or PayPal internationally to the email you set on /account.
Do I need a Stripe account to sell?
No. Wavekey collects every marketplace payment into the platform account and pays sellers out manually on the published cadence. You only need to set a payout email on /account.
Is there a download limit on the free tier?
Yes — 5 downloads every 3 days on the Beginner (free) tier (rolling 72h window). Novice and Pro have unlimited downloads from the free catalog. Marketplace purchases never count against the cap.
Can I list a single loop or only a whole pack?
Both. Post a multi-sample pack at /marketplace/new, or a one-off loop at /marketplace/new/loop. Pricing and listing flows are independent.
Who owns the rights to a sample I download?
The uploader sets their own usage terms on every sample and pack. By default no rights are granted on download — message the producer to settle terms before any commercial release. See /legal/license for the full framing.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards through Stripe Checkout. Apple Pay and Google Pay work where supported. Subscriptions and marketplace purchases use the same payment flow.
